It is an ancient barn that dates back to 1840 and which has been restored as an independent rural lodging. It is located in a village called Castellbò , in the Alt Urgell district, 800 meters high.
This full rental house has room for . It has five double rooms (three with twin beds and two with double beds) and fully-equipped bathrooms in each one.
It has a kitchen-dining-room with a fireplace, TV, video and hi-fi . The kitchen is equipped with microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, oven, vitroceramics stove, coffee maker, washing machine, iron , etc.
At the entrance of the house there is a veranda with a barbecue, a fountain, a table and chairs .
Next to the house there is a porch where cars are parked and above it there is a playing-room with a ping-pong table and old farmers`tools.
There are many activities you can enjoy here: cross-country and mountain skiing, sleigh tours, hiking, and mountain bike. In the Parc Olimpic del Segre , situated in Seu d`Urgell , you can practice rafting, canoeing , etc.
There is also the alternative of cultural visits in some of the villages in the valley: Montferrer with the Plaza de la Trobada , a VI and VII archeological site, the old mill; Castellbo , ancient Catalan capital of the Pyreness where you can know the Colegiata de Sta. Maria de Castellbo and the old castle; Turbias (St. Iscle and Sta. Victoria baroque church dating back to the XVIII century); Caldea (thermal site)…

El Raco es genial!

El año pasado, en el mes de julio, decidimos ir de vacaciones al Racó de cal Maró.Está muy cerca de Seo de U`rgel,unos 5 km mas o menos,ese trayecto es de curvas pero merece la pena llegar.La casa es preciosa muy grande y muy bien equipada,nos fascinó en cuanto llegamos.La dueña es muy amable y servicial.El pueblecito es muy pequeño y pintoresco,tambien muy tranquilo.No dudariamos en volver...
